Heart Check Tuesday 19 March 2019

Walking with GOD is a journey with several requirements, the most important being a right heart posture (1 Samuel 16:7b).

Whereas walking with GOD is expected to be executed in righteousness and uprightness of heart, the Scripture reveals that the heart of men is desperately wicked and full of evil thoughts (Genesis 6:5).

Our walking with GOD is majorly to listen and execute GOD’s purpose on earth, stand to represent GOD in facets as HE sees us fit. However, not all men can stand to execute GOD’s purpose.

Only whose heart are right with GOD can execute His purpose e.g. King David (Acts 13:22). Only men with contrite hearts (Psalm 51:17), men whose thoughts are aimed at seeking GOD’s face continually, men who abhor iniquity, men whose hearts delight in the presence of GOD in all their days.

In light of this, it is expedient for us as Christians to guard the in-flows and out-flows of our heart. The in-flows are what we allow into our hearts through seeing, hearing, thinking etc. We are expected to be watchmen of our individual heart before we can watch over territories effectively.

*A man’s heart is to remain perfectly consecrated to GOD in order for him to represent GOD in HIS purpose.*

The ancient prescription of the Scriptures remains clear and unchanged: GUARD YOUR HEART WITH ALL DILIGENCE (Proverbs 4:23). Beloved, please never forget this.
