An August Visitor in August

#HeartCheckTuesday: An August Visitor in August

“And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. and shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭19‬:‭41‬-‭42‬, ‭44‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus wept over Jerusalem because they were unaware of their time of visitation and as a result, they missed a Kairos season.

He was coming as an August visitor and expected to be received and welcomed warmly by the inhabitants of the city but he passed largely ignored, it made Him marvel that the Israelites who could discern the face of the sky and tell when it would rain or not without meteorologist could not discern the spiritual significance of his coming.

It will interest you to know that the month of August is the 8th month in the year; it will also interest you to know that RCNLAGOS will be marking her 8th year anniversary in the month of August.

The number 8 represents a new beginning a new order, or creation. God saved eight people in the ark in order to have a new beginning for mankind after the flood (1 Peter 3:20).

A new season has been declared! A season when the LORD will visit us to do new things, break old and set new records, and bring forth a new order.

The Bible warns us not to walk as fools but as wise redeeming the Time, so that we won’t miss our season of visitation.

The key takeout is that although Jesus Christ is coming for a visitation, if we receive Him properly He will make us His habitation and will dwell with us.

Dear heart checker, strive so you will not miss this visitation, the Spirit of the LORD declares: “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments and be ready, for I will come down” (Exodus 19:10-11 paraphrased).
