#TuesdayHeartCheck: What’s His Profit?
Salvation met your need, not God’s need.
Let’s journey a bit through scriptures; Rom.10:9 states that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. That simple, for your salvation!
But should it stop there? No!
Looking at 2nd Corinthians 5:17-19
First verse says “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
Hey, who’s gaining here, you or God?
Let’s check the next two verses, Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
Who’s still gaining here? Do you know what is means to be reconciled to God, and furthermore given the ministry of reconciliation? Hence, God’s plan for mankind cannot just be salvation, because man can give his life to Christ and decide to be an unreasonable Christian, and decide to remain in just being saved, yet there are many other aspects of our christian journey.
One of which is consecration. In consecration, your will is sold out, you no longer live your will but his will. Therefore becoming a profit to God and his kingdom.
Dear Heartchecker, until you submit to become a functionary in God’s kingdom, God cannot draw profit from your life. In salvation, you were profited, but in consecration, God draws profit. Several people are just saved, but they have not allowed God to call the shots in their life.
Does your life profit the Lord? Think about it!
