#HeartCheckTuesday: WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH THE BLOOD?
Let’s talk about the blood; Jesus did not go through the cross just to make history: the pain, the stripes, the agony, the thorns, the bloodshed, you can name them. It was not to make history, but a huge sacrifice for you and I (mankind).
His blood was shed so that we won’t have to shed any more blood; a sacrifice higher than any other sacrifice.
Scripture says in 1 Peter 1:18-19 - “For you know that your lives were ransomed once and for all from the empty and futile way of life handed down from generation to generation. It was not a ransom payment of silver and gold, which eventually perishes, but the precious blood of Christ—who like a spotless, unblemished lamb was sacrificed for us”.
This explains the capacity and potency of the blood of Jesus.
The blood of Jesus is a total package with redemptive power. A more potent sacrifice that overrides, overrules, countermands, quashes, and even repeals every other sacrifice.
